 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor as well as Jan Steen who is a actor and director. Steen is Dutch and Scottish descent.



 



 Steen is also an advocate for animal rights and environmentalistin addition to her entertainment business. Steen is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee. She is a qualified diver, as well as skilled in many circus arts, including fire-twirling stilt-walking , and fire-twirling.
